Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim is the Chairman of Oilworld Limited. He has been in private business for over thirty-four (34) years, working substantially in the energy sector worldwide. He is also the Chairman of Bresson A.S Limited, one of Nigeria’s pioneer Independent Power Producers, and Chairman of Bresson Energy UK, an Oil and Gas company that also specializes in Independent Power Production in emerging economies. Likewise, Mr. Olawepo-Hashim is the President of Transnational Energy Corporation, TEC in the USA, which specializes in Oil and gas exploration and trading.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Nigeria, he holds a Master's degree in Global Affairs from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, where he won the prestigious Max Bellof Award for Best Student in Global Affairs in his cohort. Mr. Olawepo-Hashim trained at the International Human Resource Corporation (IHRDC) in Boston, Massachusetts where he completed a certificate in International Petroleum Management.
Mr. Olawepo-Hashim has been recognized nationally and internationally. He was awarded the Kwame Nkrumah’s Leadership Award by The Africa Students Union (AASU) and the Veteran Award in Caracas, Venezuela in 2005 by the World Federation of Democratic Youths.

Mr Okafor is a highly experienced petroleum explorationist with over 35 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He led a couple of indigenous companies including Atlas petroleum to production as Managing Director. He has worked with Nexen Oil, Oriental Energy, and NNPC. He is a graduate of Geology from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Mr Okafor has expertise in the direct detection of hydrocarbon reserves and was one of the pioneer students in this area of study. His experience as an explorationist.cuts across the entire Niger Delta, the Chad Basin, and even the west coast of Africa.
He has also successfully negotiated several Joint Venture agreements with international companies and governments, and also managed the exploration and the development of oil and gas assets. He joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as a trainee geophysicist in 1979, and rose to the rank of Deputy Chief Geophysicist before voluntarily resigning from the corporation to support the indigenous initiatives in the upstream sector of the oil industry, in the year 1993. Mr. Okafor joined Atlas Petroleum Limited, an exploration and production company, in the same year 1993 as the Chief Geophysicist of the company, and later became the Managing
Director of the company. During his tenure in Atlas Petroleum Limited, He saw the company successfully from its first well to production stage. He later resigned from Atlas Petroleum to go into petroleum exploration and development consultancy. Mr. Okafor has consulted for several companies including Solgas Petroleum Limited, Nexen E&P Services Limited (formerly known as Canadian Petroleum), Oriental Energy Resources Limited, Eurafric Energy Limited etc. He has represented the country via the NNPC in some important international assignments including the seismo-structural and stratigraphic review.
Barakat is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the field of Financial Services. She co-founded the Sana Elias Group, a Swiss based independent firm providing advisory services with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Barakat spearheads the firm’s financial advisory and energy advisory practice which advises oil & gas companies.
The firm has extensive experience in working in frontier regions and understands how to successfully overcome the challenges that hinder access to financing capital for entities operating in those regions. Prior to co-founding Sana Elias, she was a managing member of the Deutsche Bank Global Banking (Corporate Finance and Trade Finance) in Tokyo, Japan.
While based in Tokyo, she also worked in other emerging and frontier Asian economies. Prior to Deutsche Bank, she worked in the Asset Management division of Morgan Stanley in New York. At PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York, she managed expansive audit teams specializing in the financial services sector which catered to many of the industry's leading players.
Christian Chukwuka Wigwe is an alumnus of the London Business School, the London School of Economics and Political Science, the London School of Mediation, University of Calabar and Baze University , with multiple bachelor degrees in Environmental Protection/Resource Management and Law respectively. He is a Certified regulation expert, professional negotiator and qualified as a civil/commercial mediator and specialising as a transformative mediator in the United Kingdom.
He holds membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) (UK), International Mediation Institute (IMI) (Netherlands) and Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants. Equipped with 2 decades of experience in environmental protection and resources management, international work experience on the legal and regulatory frameworks for sustainability and social governance, especially in conservation projects in Nigeria.
His project experience spans across partnership with the following organizations; the African Mangrove Network, Both-ends of Netherland, Henrich Boll Foundation (Germany), International Union of the Conservation of Netherland (IUCN), Mangrove Action Plan (USA), Oxfam UK, European Commission (MPP3), and the NLNG PEX Projects.
Mr Osariemen Owieadolor (FNSE) is a Petroleum Engineer with over 25years experience in the Upstream sector of the Oil and Gas Industry. An Ex-Shell Production Company trained production Engineer; he has held key Executive positions over the decade with leading Indigenous companies in the upstream space.
He became Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Platform Petroleum, where he left many landmark accomplishments. He led the growth of the company networth by over 143% in a record time. As CEO, he achieved 80% reduction in Platform's CAPEX and OPEX costs from previous 40 USD pbl to 21 USD pbl within 6 months, while upholding high technical and safety standards.
He led the drilling and completion of Egbaoma-GST, and Egbaoma 9, amongst other projects in the implementation of the work programmes tripling reserves of oil production and doubling reserves of Gas productions. He possesses a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and was also trained in the Harvard Business School.
Yiğit is currently the MD of Regulus New Energy in the UAE. Prior to that, he was the owner and managing director of Armada in Istanbul, Turkey. The company which he founded has grown from a just crude oil and petroleum products trader into a company with specialist heavy engineering divisions versed in power, on-shore and ofshore fabricaton, constructon and installaton. He is a trade, fnance and development expert with a rich pedigree in various financial institutons
Yiğit has also held senior and top level executve banking positons at Garant Bank Turkey, Forts Bank Turkey and Foreign Trade Bank of Turkey. He has served as Team lead in coordinatng various kinds of complex internatonal syndicatons; of various transactons including oil procurement and logistcs. He holds a Diploma in Business Administraton from University of Istanbul, Turkey; and various Certfcates in Business, Development and Trade Finance.
In additon to a diverse fnancial background, he has expertse in energy sector including trading and constructon of infrastructure projects such as modular refneries and power plants. He has extensive relatonships with refneries and suppliers and experience in working in challenging and fronter regions (Syria, Iraq, Sudan etc).
Oluwatosin Soetan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Over the past 17years, she has functioned in different finance and accounting roles in the Upstream and Midstream sectors of the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria. She has over the years delivered value in various accounting and administration roles in oil and gas companies like Platform Petroleum Limited, Blue Seal Energy Group,
Cainergy International Limited. Her wealth of experience has given her the opportunity of consulting for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) to carry out finance department diagnosis and transformation services for clients.Her professional experience in the industry has enabled her to garner various skills and specialties which include but not limited to establishment of Internal Control Policies,
setting up and coordination of finance &Accounting Departments, Oil and Gas Accounting, Tax Management, Treasury Management, Fiscal Relations regarding Hydro- carbon Accounting, Joint Venture Management etc. She also specialises in offering learning solution and training services in areas of oil and gas accounting, finance analysis, taxation etc.
Anish Kapadia has been involved in fnancial analysis and advice on the energy sector for over 20 years. Anish has recently worked for a range of upstream, integrated and LNG companies on fnancial strategy, modelling, capital raising, M&A and asset valuatons. He has regularly featured in mainstream press such as Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters and the Financial Times. As a well-known and respected analyst by senior management at the leading integrated oil companies, he has writen in-depth research on key companies, regions, Natonal Oil Companies (NOCs), LNG and exploraton.
Also on diverse topics within energy such as Global shale, NOC strategies, US LNG and decline rates. Prior to founding AKAP ENERGY in 2017, he previously spent over 15 years in equity research at UBS and Tudor Pickering Holt, where he was Head of the London Research team covering the global upstream and integrated oil and gas companies totaling >$1 trillion in size, as well as a focus on detailed oil and gas fundamental supply and demand analysis.
Anish spent eight years as an analyst at the top-rated UBS oil and gas research team covering a combinaton of European integrated, E&Ps and refners. He was ranked as a top 10 European oil and gas analyst in the Thomson Reuters Extel survey of leading equity research analysts.
Mr. Longfellow Atakele is a multitalented and seasoned petroleum engineer with over two decades of experience in exploration and production (E&P). He possesses a comprehensive background spanning all phases of Field Development, from Geology and Geophysics (G&G) through Drilling, Production, and Gas Development. As General Manager (GM) of Assets at Platform Petroleum, Longfellow successfully managed the District Office, overseeing operations across four host communities and seven right-of-way communities, achieving zero community downtime.
Longfellow has led numerous work-over, intervention, drilling, and completion projects, setting industry records and delivering significant cost savings against approved financial expenditures (AFEs). A notable achievement includes spearheading the Platform JV Gas monetization project, which achieved a five-month payout and generated approximately €30 million in carbon credits by converting flare gas to pipeline gas.
Longfellow's academic credentials include an MBA from IMD Business School and an M.Sc. from the Institute of Petroleum Studies, a joint graduate program between IFP School in France and the University of Port Harcourt. Additionally, he has undergone extensive training in management, strategy and leadership at both the London Business School and Wharton Business School.
Mr. Gerd is a highly skilled Petroleum Engineer with over 16 years of International experience in Reservoir Engineering Studies and Implementing Reservoir Development Projects for both conventional and unconventional oil and gas resource development including: Experience in technical reservoir analyses, modeling, numerical reservoir simulation, optimization of reservoir performance (production optimization), monitoring and surveillance of field performance, reserves and economic evaluations. Gerd is also skilled in fluid characterization and well test analysis, IOR/EOR, pressure transient analysis, and rate transient analyses.
Gerd was a Science and Technology Adviser in the Federal Government of Canada’s Natural Resources Department where he managed a budget of $650 million for the Clean Growth Program in collaboration with oil and gas companies, and research institutions towards sustainable development of Canada’s natural resources. Gerd earned a Master’s degree from the Hamburg University of Technology in Germany, a PhD from the University of Calgary, Canada, an MBA (Finance) from the Australian Institute of Business, Australia and a registered Professional Engineer. Gerd has publications in the journal Energy & Fuels and a valued reviewer in the journal Fuel Processing Technology.
Gerd has lived and worked in Germany, Canada, US, Qatar and Gabon on both green field and brown field assets. Gerd has extensive experience in R&D; Research Scientist at the National Institute of Science & Technology, a US Federal Government lab, to develop new standards for the characterization of heavy hydrocarbon fluids and at Shell in the development of the In-Situ Upgrading and In-Situ Conversion Processes for unconventional resource plays.
